Aluminum Anodes
Aluminum Anodes are typically used in salt water or marine environments where Cathodic Protection is required. Galvotec meets or exceeds industry standards and can manufacture any standard or custom anode type you may require.
Galvotec’s laboratory is accredited to ISO 17025:2005 to insure quality with respect to chemical composition and electrochemical performance. Each heat is analyzed for chemical composition prior to casting. Chemical Analysis is performed by Optical Emission Spectroscopy.
- Galvotec III Alloy is the standard aluminum anode alloy used for the offshore industry for over 30 years with proven field performance.
- Galvotec CW III is the preferred composition for the major offshore oil companies for deep and cold water applications.
- Custom Anode Alloys can be manufactured to exacting specifications upon request.
- Galvotec LV low voltage alloy is under investigation.
- Electrochemical Properties are determined by accepted industry standard techniques NACE TMO-190, ISO, and/or DNV RP-B401.
